Meat banned for 4 days in Mumbai during Paryushana period.
Paryushana is an important Jain Festival celebrated by Jain community. It means "abiding, coming together" and pray for peace and brotherhood.
BMC misuses its powers by imposing meat ban for 4 days.
And it is not the first time it's happening. In 2004, the state government issued a circular banning meat in the state.
The question is, why should one religion impose their beliefs on others?
However, Uddhav Thackkeray, (chief) Shiv Sena, assures public that they won't let this happen.
